The serial kisser may have toned down his antics on the screen but his spell at the BO had been dismal in the last few months. He has got a new lease of life with Jannat being declared a hit at the BO. The movie is one of the few all India hits of 2008, and this is a huge relief not only to the entire Jannat team but also to the Hindi Film Industry in general. Compared to 2007, the hits had been reduced to a drizzle in 2008 with only Bhoothnath, Jodhaa Akbar being average earners.Now Jannat has become the first majot hit of 2008 and we are towards the fag end of May. Krazzy 4 and U me aur Hum were average hits, disappointing Bollywood which was expecting a lot from these movies. U me aur Hum got good reviews but didn't rake in the Moolah even though Ajay Devgun's debut directorial effort was a good one.

So Bollywood will hope that Jannat will signal the start of better things for 2008, and result in the downpour of hits like what happened in 2007. Well...best of luck guys.
